Plummer Home

This house was built about 1865-1866 by W.A. Plummer, a prominent businessman in Vanceburg.  The Plummers operated Vanceburg’s first funeral home.  The mansard roof was added in the 1880s.  It had been marked for demolition when Ed and Lois Taylor purchased it in 1967.  They have restored it and landscaped the lawn.
